Wisconsin Missionary in Prague

What would it look like if every person in one of the world's most secular cities had repeated opportunities to hear and respond to the good news of Jesus? That's the vision driving Zachary and Míša Harrod (or Harrodovi in Czech) and their family as they serve with Converge International in Prague, Czech Republic. Through Around the Table (Kolem Stolu), they are praying to see the gospel spread throughout the city by equipping ordinary followers of Jesus to make disciples and cultivate communities where neighbors encounter Christ around ordinary tables.

Zachary grew up in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, came to faith while attending the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh, and was baptized in a Converge church. More than twenty years ago, God called him to Prague. After serving for many years with Athletes in Action, the Harrodovi now serve with Converge International, helping people open their homes, share meals, study Scripture, pray together, and invite others to discover Jesus in one of Europe's most secular cultures.

One of the unexpected gifts of this ministry is that the lessons don't only flow one direction. As the Harrodovi learn what it means to be good neighbors, practice intentional hospitality, and faithfully love people in the Czech Republic, those same principles are encouraging churches here in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula to rediscover simple, relational ways of living on mission.
