The Bridge Bible Church is praying for God to bring us an associate pastor to help as another shepherd on our ministry team. The Bridge is a practicing Word and Spirit Church, seeking to use the gifts of the Spirit as God has given them but making sure they are done so in humility, love, and for the building up of the saints. We are praying for one who has a heart for this fellowship as it continues to grow. We currently have 170 to 200 consistently attending our Sunday service and we are growing in our Saturday evening fellowship, known as Simple Church, as well. Our aim is to see people strengthened and encouraged in their faith and service, as well as reaching out to those in their community. Somerset and New Richmond, located in St. Croix county is continuing to grow, as well as surrounding communities stretching into Polk County, with more housing being developed all the time, and we want to see the gospel of Christ make an impact in the lives of all who would call this area home.

We feel it is important to allow the person the Lord brings to continue to grow in their calling. Serving under the lead pastor, this is a fantastic opportunity to serve, lead and grow. The position is full-time with a commitment to compensate accordingly taking into consideration experience and background.

Job Description: Assistant Pastor – Element Church (Hayward, WI)
About Us:
Element Church is a vibrant, growing community of believers located in the beautiful small town of Hayward, Wisconsin. With a weekly attendance of around 200–230 people, we are passionate about seeing lives transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to glorify God by making disciples who live in Gospel-centered community and engage the world with Christ’s love.

Position Summary:
Element Church is seeking a full-time Assistant Pastor who is passionate about Jesus, people, and the mission of the Church. This role requires a leader who is spiritually mature, relationally gifted, and administratively capable. The ideal candidate is a humble servant-leader who thrives in a team environment and is proactive, teachable, and ready to contribute meaningfully to the life and health of the church.


Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Lead Pastor in shepherding and overseeing the spiritual health of the church.


Provide regular pastoral care, including counseling, visitation, and follow-up with members and guests.


Preach and teach when scheduled (including Sunday mornings as needed).


Participate in planning and leading worship services and special events.


Help recruit, train, and support volunteers and ministry leaders.


Engage in regular discipleship, mentoring, and leadership development.


Support and lead various ministry areas based on gifting and church needs (e.g., small groups, outreach, youth, men’s ministry, etc.).


Maintain a personal devotional life that fuels ministry and models Christlikeness.


Contribute administratively with adequate computer and communication skills.


Engage in healthy conflict resolution, offering truth in love with humility and clarity.


Partner with staff in prayer, planning, and implementation of church vision and goals.


Be available and approachable for members of the church body.


Embrace the rhythms of small-town life and ministry, including Wisconsin winters.


Preferred Qualifications:
A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a growing, Spirit-led walk with God.


A pastoral heart with compassion for people and a desire to serve.


Experience in church leadership, preaching, or pastoral care (preferred but not required).


Some type of theological education is helpful, but not mandatory.


Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.


Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.


Willingness to live in and be part of the Hayward community.


Compensation:

Job Description: We are a very small church in Northern Michigan in a beautiful area. If you are an outdoor enthusiast, we have lots of winter activities, skiing (down hill and cross country), snowmobiling, ice fishing, etc and the summer months are just as nice. Unfortunately, we need a pastor that is bi-vocational and that should change as the church grows.

We looking for a Bi-Vocational pastor who brings strong faith, and biblical knowledge to the position. Someone who will provide strong leadership and wisdom while working with our Elders and Ministry Teams to build and maintain a strong collaborative style of ministry.

It is of utmost importance for our pastor to have a rich, intimate and growing relationship with the Lord; we rely on him to regularly encourage us to remain faithful to our core beliefs (as defined by our conference, Converge Great Lakes Baptist Conference, and as stated in our church profile), and to equip us to fulfill our God-directed mission.

We desire a pastor with strong communication skills. One who is able to Teach and Preach the Word of God in an effective manner. We are seeking someone able to effectively communicate to both those who are far from Christ as well as to those who are more mature in their walk with the Lord.

We desire a pastor who has vision and strategic planning skills, is able to develop and equip our congregation to take the church out into our community. A pastor with musical and worship abilities would also be greatly appreciated.

We desire a pastor who is relationally warm, confident, committed, and humble with the ability to lead the congregation well through weekly prayer and preaching/teaching.

Above all, we desire for lives to be transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and are praying for a pastor who exemplifies this same passion.
