Job Title: Discipleship Pastor
Job Description: POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Discipleship Pastor will serve as a key member of the pastoral leadership team and elder team at FBC. The role focuses on cultivating and continuing a culture of multi-generational discipleship and helping develop mature followers of Christ who reach others with the gospel locally and globally.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Meets the biblical qualifications of an elder as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9, 1
Peter 5:1-4.
• 3-5 years experience in vocational church or para-church ministry, or significant volunteer
leadership experience within a local church context.
• Formal biblical/theological education preferred.
• Preference for someone who is organized, caring and servant-minded, and relationally
oriented.
JOB TYPE AND REPORTING:
• Full time, exempt (40-50 hours per week on average)
• $55,000+ based on qualifications
• Reports to Senior Pastor
PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES:
Discipleship:
• Organize, lead and oversee the development of communities of believers who are growing
in maturity in Christ and in love for one another.
• Model and promote one-on-one discipleship relationships throughout the church.
• Provide counseling and discipleship to those in times of need within and connected to the
congregation.
• Identify, evaluate, or create curriculum to be used in community and small group teaching
environments.
Pastoral Leadership:
• Prepare and preach during corporate gatherings of the church approximately 6-10 times
per year.
• Serve as a member of the elder team, assisting in vision and direction.
• Teach and lead in various contexts beyond Sunday gatherings (e.g. classes, workshops,
retreats).
• Assist with weddings, funerals, visitations, hospital calls, and other pastoral care needs.
• Carry out additional pastoral duties as needed in a growing congregation with evolving
ministry needs.
Organizational and Administrative:
• Serve as the administrative leader of the Sunday morning gatherings (when not responsible for preaching). Working with staff and volunteers (using Planning Center as our
organizational software) to make sure all areas are functioning well each Sunday.
• Plan, organize and oversee community outreach events (e.g. Trunk or Treat, Baccalaureate, Drive-Thru Nativity, etc.)
• Lead and oversee various trainings, workshops, and other equipping environments for
ministry volunteers and leaders.
About FBC Darlington:
FBC Darlington is a long-established congregation (recently celebrating its 175th anniversary) with a vibrant and growing community, having doubled in weekly attendance over the last five years and now averaging around 300 on Sunday mornings. Located in a small-town rural county setting, the church offers a warm environment to raise a family and enjoy rural culture.
The congregation includes a strong homeschool community as well as many who are well-
connected to the local school district, which recently received a Blue Ribbon Award for
academic excellence. The church family is multi-generational, with a growing concentration of young adults, young married couples, and families with children still in the home.
Darlington is the Lafayette County seat and offers several amenities of a larger community
while maintaining a small town feel. It is approximately 45 minutes from the Mississippi River and within an hour’s drive of Madison, WI and Dubuque, IA, situated in Wisconsin’s Driftless Area with rolling hills and beautiful views.

Position Summary
The Associate Pastor is responsible for the spiritual formation, pastoral care, and relational connectedness of the people of Faith Fellowship. This pastor provides leadership for the church's discipleship pathway by helping people connect, grow, serve, and engage their community. The Associate Pastor oversees adult discipleship—including Men's and Women's Mentorship Programs, Men’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry, Small Groups, Connections, Newcomers, Assimilation, Volunteer Engagement, Leadership Development, and Community Outreach—while partnering with the Lead Pastor in the overall shepherding of the congregation. This is a full-time position.

Care & Formation (50%)
• Develop and implement a comprehensive discipleship strategy that encourages spiritual growth and maturity.
• Provide oversight of Small Groups, Bible studies, and other discipleship ministries.
• Recruit, equip, coach, and encourage Small Group leaders.
• Develop intentional pathways that help new believers and attendees grow toward spiritual maturity.
• Provide pastoral care through counseling, visitation, prayer, encouragement, and follow up as needed.
• Equip and mentor ministry leaders to cultivate healthy, multiplying discipleship environments.
Connections, Community & Outreach (40%)
• Oversee the Connections, Newcomers, Membership, and Assimilation ministries.
• Create clear next steps that help guests become fully engaged members of the church family.
• Guide individuals into meaningful opportunities to serve according to their spiritual gifts, passions, and abilities.
• Develop systems and strategies that increase connectedness throughout the congregation.
• Lead and champion community outreach initiatives that encourage the church to engage, serve, and build relationships within the local community.
• Partner with local schools, nonprofits, civic organizations, and other churches to identify opportunities for service and Gospel impact.
• Equip and mobilize church members to live missionally through local outreach projects, community events, and acts of service.
• Build meaningful relationships within both the congregation and the surrounding community.
General Pastoral Ministry (10%)
• Share in the overall pastoral ministry of the church, including preaching, pastoral care, and leadership responsibilities.
• Preach approximately six Sunday mornings each year.
• Participate regularly in worship services and maintain a visible, welcoming presence on Sunday mornings.
• Attend weekly staff and leadership meetings.
• Collaborate with other churches and ministry leaders to advance Kingdom impact throughout the community.
Accountability
• Reports directly to the Lead Pastor.
• Ministry teams related to Care & Formation, Small Groups, Connections, Newcomers, Assimilation, and Community Outreach report to and partner with the Associate Pastor.

We currently have 170 to 200 consistently attending our Sunday service and we are growing in our Saturday evening fellowship, known as Simple Church, as well. Somerset and New Richmond, located in St. Croix county is continuing to grow, as well as surrounding communities stretching into Polk County, with more housing being developed all the time, and we want to see the gospel of Christ make an impact in the lives of all who would call this area home.

Parkview Church is seeking a Senior Pastor to provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care to the congregation through the faithful teaching and preaching of God’s Word. The Senior Pastor will shepherd and encourage the church body, helping believers grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and equipping them for ministry and service.
This individual will work alongside church leadership to provide vision, direction, discipleship, and outreach, while fostering unity within the church family. The Senior Pastor will lead with humility, integrity, and a heart for people, offering biblical guidance through preaching, teaching, counseling, prayer, and personal example.
