Foundations 2025: What Is the Gospel? In Case You Missed It

What a powerful few days together at Foundations 2025! This year’s theme, “What Is the Gospel?”, reminded us of the heart of our mission: to remember, live, and share the good news of Jesus every day.

Dr. Joel Lawrence and Ken Nabi led us through a rich time of teaching and reflection on how the gospel transforms our hearts and gives us COURAGE to share with our families, our churches, and our communities. From the main sessions to the breakouts and every conversation in between, God was clearly at work, strengthening leaders, sparking new ideas, and reminding us that we are not alone in this work.

One of our greatest joys at Converge Great Lakes is seeing pastors and ministry leaders connect — not just at one event, but year after year. The more we show up together, the more meaningful those relationships become. These events are designed to support you, your church, and your mission — because we believe we truly are better together.

As we look ahead:
📅 Mark your calendar now for next year’s Foundations Conference.
🗣 Start the conversation with your church staff — we want to see your whole ministry team there and spouses!
💪 Our goal remains the same: to strengthen churches, equip leaders, and SEND more World Workers to the nations.

Derek Mueller challenged us to start identifying and developing potential leaders within our churches — those who may be ready to plant, lead, or go. Let’s keep praying and looking for those individuals God is preparing to send.

Above all, may we daily remind ourselves of the gospel:
That God loved us so much He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for us, to take our place — not because we deserve it, but because of His unending grace. Through Him, we are made new. This truth unites us and gives us the strength to keep going.

We praise God for what He’s doing across Wisconsin, the U.P., and around the world, and we thank Him for you, His faithful servants. You are living out the gospel in your communities, and we’re honored to walk beside you.
