Community and Church Overview
First Baptist Church has over 170 years of continuous ministry in Anywhere, WI. The historic building is strategically located in the town square of Anywhere which is also the County seat. The church’s previous and longest-serving pastor of 42 years retired in 2022. FBC has been led by an intentional interim pastor since June 2022 who has been working to strengthen their ministry and prepare them for their next pastor. FBC is an older, yet energetic congregation determined to grow younger by reaching their community and is looking for a qualified candidate to lead them into their next season of ministry. The community is a small town that includes a diverse population of seniors, families, and young adults, with over 16,000 people living in a five-mile radius and an above-average expectation for growth over the next ten years. A majority of the population has a high school diploma and/or some college experience.
Job Overview
We are searching for an outgoing servant leader with a vision for helping First Baptist Church achieve its goals of reaching our community with the Gospel and leading those who trust Christ into a closer relationship with God and each other within our local community of believers. He must have a willingness to understand and foster our existing partnerships with Converge Great Lakes and our regional movement of churches.

Identify and communicate clear goals and effective strategies to achieve them.
Develop an effective ministry team with lay leaders.
Develop an effective small group ministry.
Recruit, equip, and direct congregation members into gift-based ministry.

Awareness of and ability to employ current technology for effective ministry.
Shepherd and develop the Board of Deacons and ministry leaders.
Communication Skills
Strong biblical preaching for life transformation.
Ability to teach and communicate God’s Word in a variety of settings.
Passion for personal evangelism and corporate outreach.
Cast and communicate a compelling and clear vision for First Baptist Church.
Oversee written communications throughout the church.
Oversee worship planning and preparation to inspire the church and reach the community.

Able to be a healing presence in conflicted relationships both personal and corporate.
Qualifications
Personal Qualities
Meet the New Testament requirements for office as listed in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-7.
Strong devotional and prayer life.
Commitment to faithful sacrificial giving.
Inherent grace orientation in their relationship to God and other people.
Energy and passion in implementing ministry.
Attitudes and behaviors guided by biblical principles.
Professional Qualities
Embrace and hold the Affirmation of Faith of Converge Great Lakes & First Baptist Church.
Maintain a Baptistic perspective in theology and policy.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a Bible College is required.
Minimum of two year’s experience in a paid staff position or comparable role in a church.
Experience in and/or a heart for reaching the upper Midwest is strongly preferred.

Job Description: The Mayfair Road Worship Leader is responsible for leading the worship and tech teams at the Mayfair Road location, creating an environment that helps the church engage and connect to Jesus through musical worship, and offering support to the worship staff as needed.
What You’ll Be Doing
– Lead the worship and tech teams at the Mayfair Road Location
– Prayerfully schedule songs for weekly worship services
– Weekly prepare all elements for weekend worship, which includes ProPresenter, light programming, backing tracks, stage setup
– Partner with the worship staff in carrying out our annual goals
– Other responsibilities assigned by the executive pastor to help create environments of authentic worship across all campuses of Epikos
– Help assist with other tech needs at other campuses as they arise
